Title: Back n Back RC5 small glitch
Post by: satellite on Mar 02, 11, 01:55:03 PM
Howdy all
This is a small Glitch to do with the simple portal i installed.
I know it is not something in your Theme as it happened after i installed simple portal.
Question i have is if  can i fix it by editing the small .bmp or .jpg and repaint it and if so what file is it i need to edit.
Many thanks for your great work.
Tim

in order to fix this you'll need to upload the portal.css file from SimplePortal to your Theme CSS file!

It's a Simple portal thang!

Maxx

Please note that you'll need to un-zip the Simpleportal package and find the Portal.css, then upload via FTP or file manager to your theme folder's "css" directory...If you have trouble please let us know!

I'll be back later!

Tim,
you'll need to do that in your Sources/Subs.php -- that is How 2.0 adds links/buttons

That's in new installs of 2.0 , SMF's favicon.
just find it and delete it..

Crip i found favicon.ico in the main route directory and renamed it to favicon.ico.bck .
I then restarted the brouser but its still the same.
Any ideas ?
Thanks Tim

You can delete that thing, will not hurt... and you may want to clear you cache on the browser and see what happens.

well the logo on the right side should go away if you place slogan for the site, I think, if there is a place on the Current theme settings?

If you remove the smflogo image you will need to either replace with something or remove it's call from the index.css  file.

if you need help we are here!

Maxx

Cheers Bud i got it right first time. Thanks for the help.
Now a question .when you make a theme can you add in say your logo in the same color as the theme and a small mod on your site for us to replace the smf logo with yours ?
Or maby a slightly bigger logo on the bottem.
Example of the logo attached for example.

satellite,

If you are just trying to add a tab to the top menu, tabs are handled differently in SMF 2.0.  I don't know what version of SMF you are using but if it's the newest, try looking at this link -->  http://www.jpr62.com/theme/index.php/topic,27.msg114.html#msg114
