I think the term is Buttons.
Here is a link to a theme i saw once on SMF i liked but they didnt have it for my version.
The moving buttons are like on a Mac pc.Is this something that could be added to one of your themes or as a mod?

I use this on my windows pc so it adds the icons at the top and hids them.
