Title: Reference logo problem
Post by: zarachrome on Feb 24, 13, 04:23:25 PM
Hi everybody  :)

I live in Spain and this is my first post, after reading support forum, but with no solution.
I use SMF 2.0.4 and Reference theme.
You'll see: I've changed the logo and saved it in this route:

}#logo { position: absolute; top: 10px; left: 20px; display: block; width: 183px; height: 82px; cursor: pointer; background: url(../images/img/logo.png) no-repeat;}

But still I'm getting the original logo. My site is under construction and in maintenace mode actually, but yo can see what I mean:

I've refreshed caches and restarted Safari and Chrome, but still no solution.
Can you help me?

Thank you very much.

Looks great with Firefox! and Chrome,

Close your browsers and then restart one to check it out!

Ok, but still too much work to finish it. Maybe 2 months, because it must be moved from one server to another  :(

Nope  :tickedoff:

I tried refreshing caches on my site, refreshing navigators, deleting historical, restarting navigators... no way...  :buck2: [/list]

I'm using Safari 6.0.2 and the system is different, but I've done and the problem is there. I've tried in a pc with Firefox and still the original logo. I'm starting thinking my DSL provider is caching my connection...

  • Try this:??

#logo a {
   position: absolute;
   top: 10px;
   right: 20px;
   display: block;
   width: 183px;
   height: 82px;
   cursor: pointer;
   background: url(http://zarachrome.com/fgcbeta/foro/Themes/reference_2_0/images/img/logo-fgc.png) no-repeat;
}

That`s one of the first things I tried before posting here, but nothing.
And now, trying to edit index.css I've a very weird thing:

Ok, I understand you, but it is very strange that it happens in a pc and an iPad being the first time opening the site.
Anyway, I appreciate your help. Thank you very much  :)

When it is solved I'll tell here.
(Sorry for my poor english).

OK, pals... you'll not believe it... Nothing of that worked. I tried what you said, deleting entire system caches with Cocktail, flushing DNS cache, deactivating navigators caches, etc... nothing.

The ONLY solution that worked was renaming reference theme directory from "reference_2_0" to "reference2" and setting the new name in URL's theme configuration.
Incredible!

Anyway, thank you very much for your support and I hope this workaround could help anybody else  ;)

Best Regards.
