Title: WYSIWYG editor in Impact Theme
Post by: zarachrome on Jul 31, 13, 12:37:45 PM
Hello :)

When all the users in my forum use the WYSIWYG editor and type "Enter" one time, it appears with double line break instead of one.
For example:
One line break:
One

Two line breaks:

Two.

My forum is:
http://fotograncanaria.org/foro (http://fotograncanaria.org/foro)
Spanish UTF 8 language settings.

(I've seen double line break here when I write too, so I've had to edit text) :o

As you can see, between the first and second line, in the editor, there is one line break.
But in the preview, there are two line breaks.
That is the behaviour.

Is this a SMF bug or a theme bug?

Trust me, I do not want to find bugs in your excellent themes; I only want to find a way to sort this behaviour  :)

Thank you one more time.

I think if you are having an issue with the WYSIWYG editor, It maybe an error with the SMF them.js or an script that may have conflicts with the theme.js and or the SMF default theme/scripts/script.js.

in you theme folder for the theme being used you'll find a script/theme.js file and in the default SMF theme you will find one called the script.js, these both can be replaced by new ones from the SMF upgrade package from SMF site. ( check this first), if not then, what did you do before this happened or was noticed.

If this does not work them type out a an few lines ion the WYSIWYG and then view in HTML and see what you get from the code view.

regards,
Maxx

All the site is a fresh installation from las Sunday, with all the software up-to-date.
If I write with WYSIWYG ON, and the make a preview, the double line break appears.
If I do not preview, double line break appears sometimes, not always  :o
I do not know if it has anything related to insert smilies or not.
If I write with WYSIWYG OFF, double line breaks do not appear.

I'm confused  :buck2:

Hello Crip;

In yours it appears  Ok.
In  mine not.

Could you try double line break?
In this text you can see in the preview three lines instead of two.

I'm sorry; I'm at job  >:D

I can see the same in your screenshot, like in mine. I do not understand...

Anyway, don't worry. I'll reccomend my users not to use WYSIWYG editor.
Thank you for your time, Crip  ;)

I'd still ask at smf , someone else may have had this problem but none reported to me, just you.

Don't worry, Crip.
Maybe it is a compatibility issue with Simple Portal or SMF Gallery Pro, or another mod I've installed.
You know: software is a lottery  ;D

Thank you very much.
