Area header and topic header fonts are messed, is there a way to repair them?

I will look into this , HL needs a smaller font-size: i think ..
GBWY
This might help ::
FIND IN CSS/INDEX.CSS
/* Styles for rounded headers.
------------------------------------------------------- */
h3.catbg, h3.catbg2, h3.titlebg, h4.titlebg, h4.catbg, .table_list tbody.header td
{
overflow: hidden;
height: 31px;
line-height: 32px;
font-size: 1.2em;
font-weight: bold;
}
ADD THIS
/* Styles for rounded headers.
------------------------------------------------------- */
h3.catbg, h3.catbg2, h3.titlebg, h4.titlebg, h4.catbg, .table_list tbody.header td
{
overflow: hidden;
height: 31px;
line-height: 32px;
font-size: 1.01em; <=================== smaller
font-weight: bold;
}
The font is smaller yes, as in the capture1.jpg the text is still divided in two lines (maybe translated text is longer than English?). Still, in the original Core theme this does not happen. Also in the capture2.jpg the font is smaller but the Author and Topic are still together without any margin.
.. on my HL - RC4 it does not happen?
.. you use utf-8 character set??
1 thing try? , increase your Forum WIDTH : 97%; ?
No effect. I also deleted all files from the HL theme folder and transferred new files from the installation package without change. While using RC2 everything was ok.
i bet it's the css/rtl.css -- try adding RC3: css/rtl.css ...?
Where can I find the RC3 css?
I also noticed that in Firefox (4.0b6) text does not divide to two lines. Chrome and Safari has more problems.
Also, why in the upper right corner it doesn't show new members waiting for approval? Now I must go to administration/members to see new registrations?
Hello,
I'm a new user for your very nice theme Headline.
Thanks for this good work.
I notice a bug when activating the news fader js. Doesn't work in IE 7 or 8. I check with the default theme and it's working with it. So there is something missing or ? in your theme but what ???
Any idea about this ?
Stéphane
ps: I'm not using IE but maybe some readers does :(
hi stef,
i can look and see , but i have no IE`s being a mac user myself..
I'm a Mac user too :laugh:
But some readers are not... :crazy2:
cool see my ;)
I checked it using - Safari , Opera , FF ..and works good..so, i dunno?
Yes it's working good in Safari, FF, Opera, Chrome but NOT in IE 8 or 7.
i will Search smf site see if this happens much.
Thanks.
thought you could try adding the fader.js in your Headline/scripts/folder ..might work?
lettme know?
[attachment deleted by admin]
No it's the same. Doesn't work. :(
we need someone with IE to investigate ..
perhaps one of my 'helpers' can check on it
OK.
Thanks for your help about this little bug.
add the Default Curve (Boardindex.template.php) to HL Theme?
No, the same.
I just try again different stuff nothing change.
fader.js in HL script folder
Boardindex.template.php with the good link to the script in HL
<script type="text/javascript" src="Themes/headline_204/scripts/fader.js"></script>
Doesn't work.
I'm going to bed, it's late here in France.
I'll try again tomorrow. You have all the day to think about it ;) ;)
Thanks.
Ok I find the problem. Really a stupid problem like IE love :idiot2:
Just add a background color in the newfader div and it's working. Background with 6 value not just 3. By the way you didn't put this div in your css file.
#newsfader {
margin:0 2px 10px;
height:100px;
background-color:#ffffff;
}
I put height to fix this div. It's optional.
Another thing, completely different.
I also change the color for the Blockquote background I think it's matching more with the theme color. What do you think ?
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote
{
background-color:#f2f1e9;
}
blockquote.bbc_alternate_quote
{
background-color:#faf9f4;
}
Thanks a lot for you help on this. And again many thanks for this great design.
thanks for your info stef ;)
Did you by chance re-install or upload the Scripts folder to the Theme and also make certain all CSS files are in your CSS folder, while we check on this issue with IE... thanks
regards,
Maxx
I added the {background-color: #FFF;} on demo site..
IE working?
http://www.jpr62.com/demos/index.php?theme=9
No I leave the fader.js script in Theme>default>scripts
In headline_204 I have :
css >index.css & rtl.css
images
index.php
index.template.php
languages > Setting.english.php
Scripts > index.php & theme.js
Setting.template.php
theme_info.xml
That's all.
There is a ie6 & ie7 css in the default css folder but I don't know if we need it or not.
Everything seems ok without those css files.
I tried with the ie7.css but I didn't notice any change so I just remove it from headline.
@Crip
No doesn't work. You have to put the css with 6 f
{background-color: #FFFFFF;}
OK I just installed and check and you are correct the IE issue is real, I checked the Js and it's good, Need to check into the other php and css to see. but may take some time real busy for now. unless Crip is already working on it?
But we'll get it done!
regards,
maxx
added this :
background-color: #FFFFFF !important;
Yes it's working.
But why did you put !important ?
makes a statement that over-rides other areas# !important;
Ok. But usually we use the !important only for Firefox.
Doesn't matter it's working.
I checked in your demo with IE 8 and IE 7 compatibility mode in IE 8 and also in IE 6. It's ok.
thank you.
