EzPortal Has move along way forward sense this post and as some unique features added, to it:
Mobile detect _ that closes the side panels upon detection of mobile deceives, such as phone and tablets.
Admin; when in use will close side panels and newer styles but this will be worked on more in time.
Ezportal has many add on mods from contact page to Gallery and Downloads both free and commercial versions
