Ubuntu OS

Anyone using it?

One of my Windows XP computers suffered some pretty major OS corruption. I decided to try something different rather than fix since I know XP isn't going to be supported much longer. I loaded Ubuntu onto a memory stick and did a test run. Looked and ran great so I loaded it. So far I'm really liking it! There is a bit of a learning curve but it does make sense after a bit.

i'm a mac user , but i ant never tried Ubuntu..

Yes Ubuntu is nice and the best one out in my book, there are many how tos on my website and at Ubuntu and Youtube as well... you will find many free or open source programs to run on it also.

Office, Graphics, science , math and most all educational stuff from first to colledge material.

Only problem, I had is matching allot of my newer hardware drivers. but they are moving fast on most all this stuff.

You can read up on a program called WINE, so you can run some windoz applications on the Ubuntu!

Your gonna love playing around with it!

Yes, I'm loving it so far. 

A lot of programs and support out there now.

I think I looked at Ubuntu a few years ago but it wasn't anything like what I see now. Reminds me of SMF. It just keeps getting better.
