Great insight into the process of creating a custom theme for SMF!  O0

I can see that you also need to be good with Photoshop or similar to create the images you want to use. Also need to be proficient with php and some programs in order to pull it all off.

Is this about the same process for new series of SMF themes?

Was thinking about Crip when I was watching these videos. I am still in amazement at how he was able to do all this! He was also very fast considering he had to peck one key at a time.  :o

Yes Jeff was awesome and did put some themes out there. He had a very trying life, never gave up! :)

As far Photoshop goes, Now days we use allot off CSS/CSS3 filter effects to replace many of the graphics. How ever you still need some sort of Image Editor, I use Serif PhotoPlus 6, if I need to edit png or psd files. it very reasonable in price. the Have photoplus 7 out now and you can get on their mailing list and as soon as a new version comes out the previous one is very cheap in price, but this is very professional software made in the UK!
I had Photoshop way back, but the price way out of my budget! :)
I also have Drawplus6 for Vectors and stuff!

Maxx
