Title: Anecdota Theme Support, tweaking.
Post by: Global on Jul 07, 11, 12:16:27 PM
Hi there,
My forum is now using Anecdota.
I love the look and feel of Anecdota, but I would like to have a few small things changed. The way the news displays, and the size of the posts, and some help with the menu.
I am using SMF 2.0 RC5.
I would also like some help with Tiny Portal.
Could someone help me with this? What might this cost?
Also, if I gave the person helping me my 800 number, could we talk about the things that need to be done?
Thanks! -Aaron

P.S. Thank you Crip for making all of these themes. Your work is awesome, and its amazing that you offer these to the public for free! -Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Crip!
We are going to upgrade to the latest SMF version and theme.
If that doesn't solve the problem, then I will post some images, etc.
Thanks again for the theme, great work!

Thanks again for the theme Crip.
I am all undated now with the latest SMF and Theme.
In the first pic, fig. A, I want to either move the "search" box or remove it.
In fig. B, I want the news box to be bigger if possible, or run all the way across the top if possible.
Also, maybe just a bit higher up.
In fig. C, I would like this to be as thin as possible, making the forum section bigger.

In the 2nd image, fig. D, I would like this to be thinner too. Could the message area be moved closer to the users name?

I'm sorry if this is obvious to some users. I am unfamiliar with themes and how to edit them.
I would rather it gets done by the Master (Crip) so that it doesn't cause any problems with the theme later on.
Thanks -Aaron

OKay ,
Search"))) can be Removed & or Adjusted , the News"))) can be Adjusted & or remove the Width: 50%; to Width: auto; <= Which then runs the Entire Width vs 50% or Half Way via your css/index.css

your last image is set that ->User <==> <-Post way by default Curve Theme .. really can't alter that.

Your Forum WiDth  is Easy , see pic:

Hi Crip,
We did the updates.
Thanks!
A user is having a problem.
He wrote; "Notice the reply box. I typed in a row of "g"'s and they don't want to rollover to the next line .....
Never mind. Now it won't let me search and post an attachment either ."

This was while he was using Chrome.
Any ideas?  Thanks very much. -Aaron

Isn't that an change in SMF 2.0 RC5 to 2.0 gold?

Here is an fix that might work:

Quote from: Eudemon
go to ur theme's index.css
find
#quickReplyOptions form textarea
change everything inside the { }
to
height: 100px;
width: 635px;
max-width: 100%;
min-width: 100%;
margin: 0.25em 0 1em 0;

It does it when posting a <[Reply]> , so that probably wont fix  it... it might tho -- ?

Shot from Demosite looks OK?
