Title: Removing News on Flint
Post by: clinicalsanity on Nov 28, 10, 01:58:19 PM
Just put the theme flint onto my websites forums, and there is a news post in the top section that is highly unwanted, how can I remove this?

Sorry, here's a pic of what I mean. I'm assuming it has something to do with stuff we have on our forums since it actually links to our old TWL, but I really don't know much about this stuff...

index.template.php ==>
Find & Remove
  // Show a random news item? (or you could pick one from news_lines...)
   if (!empty($settings['enable_news'])){
      echo '<div id="news">
        ', $txt['news'], ': ', $context['random_news_line'], '</div>';}

Or you could just disable it in the admin settings.

Admin -> Configuration -> current theme.

There should be an option to show new in top of the forum. Disable that.
