Title: Fire Rock theme
Post by: tamasir on Jul 10, 10, 04:37:01 PM
Hi Jeff!
I currently use Fire Rock as my theme. ( i this I changed in some places, css,logo and et cetera)
Have you ever considered updating that particular theme? I am using SMF version 1.1.11 and TinyPortal v0.9.8.
I would like to use it SMF 2.0 RC3 and TinyPortal 1.0 betas to 5-2 versions.
Thanks....

Hi ,

First thing back up your index.css file!!!!! for this theme.

I do not have this theme installed, but if you can not find a setting under admin CP> current theme? then you can check the index.css and see if you can find the #wrapper by search and find or sometimes the name may change
but there may be a setting

#wrapper
{
     margin:  0 auto;
}

you will need to add:
width: "80/90/100%; " ( or the size you want like "990px;" etc.
under the margin line.

if there is already a width line then change to the size you want! but be careful of over stretching it!

I will down load the theme and see maybe tomorrow before I get back!

on the moderate drop down do you have moderator groups set up in you admin CP?

some css look like this:
div#wrapper
{
    width: 85%;
    margin: 0 auto;
}

and others call it "main_container"

regards,
maxx

Ok this an older theme: your case will be changing this code:

.C_wrap {
    width: 100%;
    min-width: 720px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 1px;
}

I would try the following on the style.css file:

.C_wrap {
    width: 90%;
    min-width: 720px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 1px;
}

Maxx

You are welcome bro and I checked it out on my demosite and it looks centered at 95%, so if you want it larger, we can do it but I would let like this to fit browser variations!

Good luck!

tamasir,

What version of SMF and of TinyPortal?  Can we see a link to the site using the theme you are asking about?  Are you just wanting to make the left and right margins smaller?  Is that it?
